2025 POOL INFORMATION
Hours of Opearation: The pool will operate 11am to 7pm, 7 days a week from Memorial Day (May 24th) to Labor Day (September 1st) weather permitting. These operating hours are subject to change at the discretion of the pool management company based on lifeguard availability.
Weather Policy: The pool will close during inclement weather for the safety of all guests. Updates will be provided on our Facebook page.
Guest Policy: Guests of members are welcome to come to the pool with members. Passes can be purchased in advance during marina office hours at a cost of $10 Monday – Thursday and $15 Friday – Sunday per day with a maximum of 2 additional guests per family per day. Guests of members will not be admitted on Federal Holidays.
Parking: Ample free street parking is available on Chesapeake Avenue, Fairview Avenue and First Street. Please review other parking guidelines in the rules and regulations and/or check with the dockmaster.
2025 SWIMMING POOL RULES
1. The pool is for the sole use of its members and accompanied guests. Failure to comply with the rules may result in pool privileges being revoked with no refund at the sole discretion of marina management.
2. All persons, including guests, must sign in and include full address and/or slip number and boat name. Proof of identity/residence may be required.
3. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult (anyone over the age of 18) at all times.
4. The number of persons admitted to the pool area at any time will be subject to county ordinances and the Pool Manager’s or Lifeguard’s decision. Guests may be signed in only if there is adequate space at the pool.
5.No one shall be allowed in the pool or pool area unless a Lifeguard is on duty.
6. The Pool Manager or Lifeguard on duty may close the pool at any time due to mechanical breakdown or other operational difficulties.
7. The pool will be closed in the event of electrical storms and inclement weather for the protection of swimmers.
8. Glass or breakable containers of any kind are not permitted in the pool area.
9. No pets or wheeled vehicles, except wheelchairs and baby strollers, are permitted in the pool area.
10. Storage of any items will not be permitted in the pool area or buildings.
11. All swimmers are to shower before they enter the pool. Suntan lotions must be washed off before entering the pool.
12. Persons having a rash, skin abrasion, or open wounds shall be permitted to use the pool only if they have a Doctor’s certificate.
13. Children who are not toilet trained must wear appropriate swim diapers when in the pool.
14. No wrestling or unnecessary roughness or disturbances that endanger the safety of others will be permitted in the pool or pool area.
15. Loud playing of radios or musical instruments will not be permitted by either the pool patrons or pool personnel.
16. The use of rafts, goggle, fins, and small life rings, etc. shall be at the discretion of the Pool Manager or Lifeguard.
17.There will be a 15-minute adult swim period each hour, if needed. Time of such will be determined by the Lifeguard or Pool Manager.
18. No refunds/credits/adjustments will be made for unforeseen events such as but not limited to weather events, lifeguard shortages or other Acts outside of the marina’s control.
19. Rules may be updated at any time. The current rules will be posted in the pool area.
The Pool Manager and Lifeguards have been delegated the important responsibility of protecting visitors to the pools. We want the pool to be enjoyable for all, so it is necessary that they enforce the above rules and regulations. Any behavior that is deemed unacceptable by the Lifeguard, Pool Manager, or Management of AMCYC or any infraction of the rules set forth above will be grounds for dismissal from the pool, pool area, and/or property for the remainder of the day. The Pool Manager or Lifeguard must turn away anyone who appears intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Should anyone be asked to leave the pool area due to unacceptable behavior or any other infraction of the rules, the Lifeguard or Pool Manager must notify the Property Manager, in writing, within 24 hours.
