What differentiates the Trident Marine Group team and its track record from other operators or consultants, including proof points and outcomes?

Our background in marina ownership and hospitality provides us with a dual perspective. We understand the core business principles and what creates a great guest experience. We operate with the personalized attention of a boutique firm combined with the discipline of an institutional platform. That mix enables us to support the complete marina life cycle, from acquisition screening and due diligence to repositioning and daily operations, including work withing complex financing structures that require strict oversight and confidentiality.

We are independent. We do not broker, appraise, or buy assets, nor do we take commissions. Clients work with a single team from screening through operations, ensuring recommendations are aligned with budgets, covenants, and daily performance.

This approach has achieved measurable results. We helped a buyer avoid a costly post-closing repair by identifying a structural issue that was missed during the sale process. We also drove double-digit growth in slip leasing for another client by refining marketing strategies and improving the on-dock customer experience. Additionally, we assisted a seller with incomplete records and poor contract management in recovering significant receivables, rebuilding documentation, and positioning the asset for sale.

Our operations align with Clean Marina or the local equivalent in each market, keeping safety, environmental care, and guest experience at the center.

What geographies and portfolio sizes does Trident support, and how do we allocate resources for multi-site engagements?

Our clients include individual operators, family offices, private equity groups, lenders, developers, and government agencies, including the Federal Government. We support both single-site owners and portfolios spanning multiple regions. While our base is in the Mid-Atlantic, we have worked in the Southeast, Midwest, and other markets, and we are open to considering projects wherever the scope and partnership make sense. Each property has a dedicated lead who understands the marina, its customers, and potential challenges. That lead is supported by our broader team in operations, accounting, marketing, and compliance, all of whom stay closely involved with the property to ensure consistent support. In multi-site portfolios, those leads coordinate through portfolio-level programs that provide owners with a unified approach to operations and reporting. For owners and slip holders alike, the experience feels personal and local, with the added benefit of a larger organization backing it.

Who is Trident Marine Group, and how is your role differ from that of brokers, appraisers, or buyers?

Trident Marine Group is a marina operator and consulting partner. Our work involves managing daily marina operations, hiring and overseeing staff, serving boaters, maintaining docks and fuel systems, and keeping cash flow steady. That’s the difference between us and brokers, appraisers, or buyers. We are not in the business of selling properties, appraising values, or earning commissions. Instead, our focus is on understanding how a marina truly performs and identifying risks and opportunities beneath the surface. Because we do not have a financial stake in transactions, our role is to provide owners, lenders, and investors with a clear, fact-based view that supports informed decision-making. This results in fewer surprises, improved operations, and a more reliable path toward long-term returns.

What types of clients does Trident support through the marina ownership lifecycle, and how does the scope adapt to each?

We collaborate with independent owners, family offices, private equity firms, lenders, and developers. Engagements are modular: pre-LOI screens, due diligence, post-close integration, or ongoing management. Some clients engage us on a specific scope that can grow over time. Others hire us for full turnkey oversight and management, including daily operations, marketing, accounting, and contract administration. You set the direction, and we manage the execution.

What ongoing operating services can Trident offer after closing, and how do clients maintain control?

Staying involved after a deal closes ensures the work done in diligence translates into performance on the ground. We can take on any part of a marina’s operation, including accounting, staffing, marketing, guest services, and contract management, or run the entire facility on a turnkey basis. For owners who already operate a property, we can step in where needed to strengthen systems, improve results, or cover gaps. Throughout any engagement, you set the priorities and make the decisions while we carry them out, so you retain full control of the asset.

How does Trident structure reporting, KPIs, and financial oversight to meet owner and lender requirements?

Our role is to provide owners and lenders with clear, unbiased reports they can trust. We monitor the key metrics that influence marina performance, such as occupancy, revenue per slip, transient capture, AR health, and fuel margins. Reporting packages are customized to suit each client’s specific needs and the format required by lenders, whether that is board-ready summaries, lender compliance packets, or detailed monthly variance reports. The goal is simple: no surprises, no spin, and information that is transparent and actionable.
